BC-700 Charger in another country
Hi all,

I bought the Dimage Xg in the UK I plan to use my cam in america when I next go back so here's the question,

Can I use the BC-700 Charger in another country if I obtain the right AC power cord for that country/region?

the same Battery Charger comes with the cam sold in america the BC-700 so I Don't get why I Can't take my battery charger and use an American AC cord there with my battery charger. :?

(the specs for my battery charger on the back are:)

Battery Charger BC-700

Input: 100-240V~0.2A
50/60Hz 9-14VA

Output: 4.2 650mA

(thats all the info on the back of my BC-700 battery charger:)

hope someone can help me thanks

Yes you can use it in the US.

I'm surprised your camera didn't come packaged with the different AC cables. A Canon IXUS500 I recently purchased from Asia came with 3 AC cables with respective plug types for worldwide use. Similarly my D70 came with 2 AC cables/plugs.

However based on what you quoted as the back of the charger, I don't think you even need a different AC cord - just a pin plug adapter at the end to fit the US 2 prong plugs would suffice.

all repsonses I have received from users have indicated it's fine like you have, which in all has put my mind at ease and cleared up what I wanted to know. :)
