BS, tech errors or anything else, I for one don't care this baby is a god send for me.. 1200 flashes between charges, no hastles, It just supplys power.. thats all I want it to do. My SB-80 loves it.. I'm saving a bunch in time not having to re-charge AA all the time..

Woohoo!! Another wedding, another happy story with the DCB. Got an 8 picture burst when the couple was walking through a tunnel of their bridal party, almost seemed like an animated movie Also got a 7 picture burst while the couple was dancing. All were very well exposed and consistant from the first shot to the last one Had my D100 have a bigger buffer I could've gone on for a while longer I suppose. This battery keeps surprising me everytime I use it :|

I'm not sure you really wanted to to more, though... you're starting to risk the life of the flash that way. But its nice to hear you could have done it.

here the higher tech solution and for only roughly 2x the price. i suppose their math and tech is wrong too. this is also what DCB isworking on too for about 2x the price also.

Those limitations really make it kinda pointless to me. Doesn't use the high power port? Only a battery replacement? Stupid.

Just got done with a Cutting Horse show and the 30w went well over 1,000 full and auto flashes..I used it on the Nikon SB-80 Flash only.. was wondering on average how many AA's sets (4 in a set) do you go through until the 30w is ready for re-charge.. I went through about 6 sets.. Is this normal.. Now I am not saying all the batterys were fully charged ( I use NI-MH recharable) Some sets performed better than others..I just thought that was alot of AA's.. But with out the 30w pack I would have went through 100's.. Thanks for the response

When I shot with NiMH AA's I used to get about 200 something shots, some full, most auto. Today I had a wedding at a castle and shot in the 800+ ballpark. But most of all the shots were with my SB-80DX, bouncing off the tall ceilings there. Wow, I was able to get table shots one after the other, without waiting too long for the flash to recycle. It was like boom-boom-done! :| Although we are all talking about flash shots, my best shot of the day was in available light, handheld at 1/6s @ f/4, ISO 400 :O
