Default rechargable AA Lion batteries

does anyone know why no one has created a rechargeable AA Lion battery? Is it a technical limitation? Price? or just that NiMh has a greater capacity?

If you'll notice, all the lithium battery packs are either 3.6v or 7.2v. The difference in chemistry accounts for the different output voltages. The AA battery design calls for 1.2-1.5v output so Li-ion is not going to be used.
