Hello.

When I bought my A-80 the sales person warned me that I should only use 1600 mAh NiMH batteries.

He once had a customer who returned his A-80 because he used 2200 mAh that somehow affected the camera.

To all A-80 users out there, is there any truth on that?

Will using 2200 mAh batteries fry my A-80's circuits?

Thanks!

greyf1,

My wife has used 2200's in her A80 since day one. After taking over 1800 pics she has experienced no problems.

I can't see howthe capacity of batteries canpossibly affect the camera. The salesman is just not knowledgable. If it was true Canon would have printed it in the manual

thanks, everyone.

I havetwo setsof 1600s and a set of 1300s for my A-80.

I think I'll use them till they die before buying higher capacities.

Again, thanks!
