Default Any experience with EBP-100 for Minolta Dimage 7i

I am investigating power pack options for the Minolta 7i. Any ideas how long these power packs last? How do they attach to the camera?

Thanks

Why do you think you need it. (They are awfully expensive!!!)

Go to Walmart or Target and get a bucket full of NiMh instead !

NHL,

Thanks the prompt response.

I currently use a Sony TRV900 digital camcorder that uses similar Sony battery packs and I guess I'm just used to them.

The digitial camera will be used for trips and extended outings and so I don't want to carry a bucket of batteries with me. For each set of 4 batteries (Nimhs?) how many shots do you get? Would I need to carry 16 of these for a days shoot?

I rarely need to use my 2nd set while I was in Orlando during the Spring break. I carry a second set as backup, but rarely ever have to use it unless I reviewed the pictures during the monorail or ferry back to the Disney's parking lots!

The EBP-100 is a 'poor man' version of the D60/D100 handgrip that you hang around your waist, but if you look at their individual pack rating they are less a NiMh 1850 mAh/set that one can get now from Sanyo or Rayovac... Beside @200+ shots/set that's like 5 rolls of 36 exposures film canisters!!! So for two sets of NiMh you can shoot more than 11+ rolls of films and that's the reason I bought the IBM microdrive. You'll run out of flash long before you run out of batteries!

A day in the life of a Dimage 7 battery ...
