Hi Lisa Marie,

Another option is the DPS 9000 as a backup.

It screws onto the tripod mount and battery itself has a tripod mount.

Go here to read more about it

http://www.imaging-resource.com/NEWS/1030626000.html

Two BIG advantages with this battery:

1. Lithium based so will work well in low temps.

2. It will work with almost any dig cam so it can be portable when/if ? you upgrade to a different dig cam.

Go here to see compatibility chart:

http://www.digipowersolutions.com/pd...patibility.PDF

Good luck

:?Former owner? Did you sell the FZ20 for a negative reason? or just upgrading?

oops, read the quote wrong...thought you were a former fz10 and a former fz20 owner....

On another note, has anyone found a "cordless" remote for the FZ20 yet?

Battery at Eagle Importers is listed at 680mAh but stock is 800mAh. Lower capacity or am I misreading something?

Bill
yes I was misreading something. it is 680mAh. Sorry for any confusion.

I just received a battery for my FZ20 that I ordered from Amazon.com - $27.54 & free shipping.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...501395-8475942

This battery is made by Lenmar (model DLP002) and has a3 year warranty - 7.2 volt / 680mAh

Their web site http://www.lenmar.com shows it as compatable with the following items.

Maxell #DC3784; Panasonic # CGA-S002; Panasonic # CGA-S002A

Panasonic FZ1;FZ2;FZ3;FZ10;FZ15 & FZ20.

I visited friends recently who had a FZ20. The batteries looked the same, but neither my Panasonic nor Eagle FZ10 batteries would go into their charger. Theirs went in easily. From posts on this thread I guess I could have forced it, but I wasn't about to try that with someone else's charger. The batteries do seem to be a little different in the connections and I'm not sure a regular regime of forcing it in the camera would be a good thing.

I have just seen the battery I think you are looking for. It is a 7.2 volt - 800mAH Lithium-ion unit made by CTA that is equal to the Panasonic CGA-S002A1B. http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2....PROD_ID=716928
Price is $30.99 plus $2.95 shipping. (1 year warranty) I have not used one and can not comment on quality or charge life but
maybe someone else on the forum that has used one can.

For crzoom..................or anyone with FZ20/Lenmar DLP002 battery experience.

I saw on your Dec 8th post you purchased a Lenmar DLP002 battery for your FZ20. I bought one locally today after the salesman said it would work. I also looked at the Lenmar site and it seemed to be OK. I'm a bit anxious after reading about some people's difficulties in fitting non-Panasonic batteries. The reason I haven't tried it is because Santa sez I can't have the FZ20 for another week. Does it work OK in your FZ20?

Just hope I can stay out of trouble for another week.
