Default Canon S330's battery charger - OK for 240 volt?

Does anyone know if the battery charger that comes with the standard kit with the Canon S330 will work with 240 volt?

on any charging device there is a label on the back giving info on the charger. if it says input voltage info like 100-240v it should. if it says 100-120v and you plug it directly into 240v it will go up in a puff of black nasty smoke.

Ha ha  , but it's not always true !
Once I was in Cairo ( Egypt) , I forgot to use the converter with the charger ( If I remember right, they have the same US plug, except 220V, 50Hz) , then the charger dies ... silently

It's sometime confusing when you have several equipment that behave differently ( laptops don't need converter)
