Default Energizer CHM4AA

I'm currently looking at the Energizer CHM4AA NiMH/NiCd charger - it comes with two 1700mAh batteries and add. are fairly inexpensive. The packaging does indicate a 15 hour timer but that seems like a rather lengthy charge cycle...

I'm hoping that someone will be able to share their impression of recharge time and battery life with a Canon PowerShot A10.

I was interested in the Rayovac 1 hour charger but was unable to locate the item - even in shops listed as Rayovac dealers. So far, the Energizer seems to be the best I can find... and it's affordable.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Have you tried Walmart and Target?

They both stock the Rayovac chargers and I've even seen the 1800mA Rayovac cells as well. You can't beat the prices @ thoses discount stores even with shipping!

I'm in Canada... they don't seem to carry Rayovac products and the Rayovac site doesn't list them as a retailer for that product (only Zellers/Sears/Radioshack).
It's too bad because the Rayovac are appealing. Thanks tho...

Maha is highly recommended, but there's others as well...

ATTENTION CANADIEN SHOPPERS.

There is a MAHA 204 equivalent charger labeled "LEAP" at "Battery plus" stores. It is IDENTICAL and my theory is that it is just labeled differently for the canadien distributor. It sells for 30$cn.

If you want inexpensive NiMH batteries, try Cosco for the Energizer 1700ma. a pack of 8x AA will cost you only 25$cn.

Hope this is helpfull to anyone out there...

You can get both the Enegizer 1 hour charger and the batteries via bestbuy.com, $39 for the charger and $13.99 for 4 pack E pack, do not buy the slower charger, 14 hours to charge is rediculous. You can also get the Ray O Vac 1 hour charger for $34 and eight pack or R batteries for $19 at the same website.
