We're off to Nepal in a couple of weeks and I was curious as to whether we'd have much of a problem with NiMH batteries given that it may be a little cool (-10C).

Also, I recently saw some NiMH batteries listed as 2500mAh by a company called VVPOW - anyone ever heard of them or know what they're like?

Never heard of the company. Buy extra batteries and keep them inside your coat to keep them warm . When the current set is "used up", replace them and warm them up. They will still have useful life left.

Just keep the sets in separate containers.

Or you're a diy kinda guy, make up several battery packs and a power wire with the correct plug so you can switch packs while keeping them inside your jacket.

You can also take along several litium non rechargeable batteries to make sure you don't run out of power when least expected. I've also never heard of that company, but I can vouch for Sanyo batteries.
