Default Lithium-Ion batteries in cold weather

Would anybody know if lithium-ion batteries suffer from the same affliction that plagues nickel metal hydride batteries in cold temperatures? I'm tired of having my Ni-MH AA's die out real quick when shooting outside during the winter. During the summer there are no problems.

LI ion bats are considerably better in cold enviornment apps then just about any other battery.

if you have an external power plug in on your camera. battery pack it under your cosy warm coat.

Thanks for the replies! I've just placed an order for a Li-Ion battery pack for my E-10, the Digipower DPS-9000. It attaches directly to the tripod screw under my camera and seems encapsulated in thick plastic, so I hope it won't miss the warmth of my belly :P
