Default Best Batteries for Nikon MB-E5000

Hi

What are the best batteries for the Nikon MB-E5000, that is the longest lasting ones and are they available anywhere or only in camera stores. Thanks.

Hi Louise

You must think of rechargable...you have to select as much power as possible e.i 1900mAh (the higher number the more output power). You should buy them on the net - use to be cheaper anyway.

I've just ordered two sets of theses 2100mAh and fedexed to my home for free:

Walmart has Rayovac 1800mAh for $11.99/4, or a noname (with free charger) 1800mAh for $10.99/4:

You'll need 6 so buy/order 3 sets...

Default Batteries for MB-E5000

Hi

Thanks both of you for replying. Can the same charger be used for 1800 and 2100?.

Yes, but most fast 1-hr chargers only charge 4-cells @ a time, so you might have to buy two, if you don't want to wait (or have several sets of batteries).

I prefer the Rayovac over the Maha since it's much faster, and get the batteries really warm. Why don't you buy both and try them out (since you'll need two) like I have, and usually you'll end up using the faster one anyway... (or take it on a trip)

BTW, with the Rayovac you can intermix your 1800/2100 mAh cells (or AA with AAA), but the older Maha's need to be charged in matched pairs.
