I've had one for over a year. Works great. I've used Rayovac, Energizer and panasonic batteries. The batteries get warm when charging but it doesn't seem to harm them. The speed is fantastic. It can also be used in a car with car adapter available from Rayovac. Radio Shack sells a cable that may work but I haven't had a chance to check connector size and polarity. I made my own from parts I had and Radio Shack for about $2.
