Im looking to purchase a Kodak Easyshare CX7430 and Im just wondering if I would be able to put off a battery charger purchase for the time being and just charge the batteries by plugging in the camera to the wall. Is thispossible? if so, how long does recharging take? Im travelling, and I really want to carry as little as possible.

If I remember correctly the CX7430 runs on 2 AA cells. Although you can purchase the Kodak dock and use it to charge de cells while in the camera this will not save you neighter space nor money. A better approach IMO is to get 4 extra NiMH AA cells (two sets) and a cell holder from a place such as Thomas Distributing. The cells in the holder do not take much more space than a matchbox and you can tale plenty of pictures on the three sets. Charge them at home and don't carry the charger.
