Hey,
I have two CR-V3's that came with my Olympus C-740. They finally died yesterday.

Should I buy a charger for the CR-V3's or buy a set of NiMh's with a charger?

On the CR-V3 cover it says "Do not recharge". Are the Olympus Camedia batteries non-rechargeable?

Thanks!

If I rememberr correctly the CRV-3 is not the rechargable type. But there is a rechargable CRV-3. Here is what I found doing a quick search. It is for the DigiPower CRV-3 Charger.

Here is a less expensive version.

I personally prefer NiMH because it is cheaper to have a spare. You can keep a lithium CRV3 as another spare. Besides that, CRV3 batteries are Li-ion batteries, so they have a life of 200 charges or 2 years, whichever comes first. NiMH last between 500 and 1000 charges.

Anyway, that was just personnal preference.

Another factor in the equation -- Li-ion holds a charge longer and works better in lower temperatures than NiMH chemistry cells.

That is why I bought a DPC-9000 external lithium battery pack.
