The dry-fit (lead gel cell) has a large capacity and takes quite a while to charge. There are lights on the battery case to tell you the charge status... Red for charging, and Green when done. Be sure you are connecting the charging cord to the side of the case nearest to the signal lights. The connector on the other side is for a second head, and will not charge the battery.

If your battery does not get to Green after 10-12 hours of charging, then the battery is probably defective and needs to be replaced. The dryfit battery is quite good in performance, but if it has been allowed to run way down, it may not recharge. It should be recharged after any use, even if only partial capacity is used, and put away charged. It can be topped off before a shooting session.

If you bought it used, there is a date code on the top of the battery, and the distributor, Bogen Photo, can tell you how old it is.

Hope this helps..
