Default Rechargable Ni-MH for Nikon 950

Does anyone have a recommendation for rechargable batteries for a Nikon 950? I have Maxell-1400mAh Ni-MH batteries now and they don't seem to last long.
I saw Sony rechargables in Circuit City; has anyone used them?
Thanks,
Dan

I wouldn't buy anything less than 1800mAh.They now have them up to 2100mAh.Try this site.
Also try Wal Mart, they are a lot cheaper than CC.

Default Step up in battery capacity for my CP950

I have a battery charger I used to charge these 1400 mAh batteries. It's a Radio Shack 23-335. Is this charger capable of handling the new 2000+ mAh size?
In general, do battery chargers have an upper limit on the battery capacity?
Regards,
Dan

Any charger will charge any capacity battery as long as it is the proper type - just be sure that it is made for NiMH type. The higher the capacity, the longer the charge time required. If your charger is more than a couple of years old it is probably time to buy a newer one as the charger technology has really been advanced lately.

There are timer chargers which I think could be dangerous. They are designed to charge bats with a specific capacity (the ones that came with it).

OK, you've long lost the instructions, the original bats are knackered, you find some old less capacity ones and over charge them. I'll leave the rest to your imagination.
