Default NiMH batteries left in charger

Is it a good idea to remove NiMH batteries from the charger after charging, or do they remain on a trickle charge?

Depends on the type of charger you have. Which charger do you own or looking to buy?

The Radio Shack provides conditioning charging according to wHat I found on the web. It also should provide trickle charging after it has completed it's charging cycle. The other charger I could not find any info on.

I have the 23-405 charger from Radio Shack and have used it successfully for about three years. Yesterday, I popped in four new Radio Shack NiMH's and the charger fried two of the batteries. The casing split and crinkled along the seam. I'm retiring that charger and am awaiting the highly rated MH-C204F from Maha.

Default Split battery charger..

So far, my RS 23-335 works OK. With 1800 mAh batteries left in overnight, the charger indicator light (red) is out in the morning and the batteries are charged.
What capacity batteries were you charging?
