Does anybody have any specs (Nikon published or rev. engineered) on the DC-IN plug on the Nikon DSLR's? I believe it's the same as the higher end dslr's, but I'm not certain.
I want to know, since I want to make my own cheap and effective external battery for the D50 using AA or C NiMH batteries, with a circuit using PICs if necessary to control voltage, etc.
I've looked at the "Digital Camera Batteries" that cost $300+, but I'd much rather take the time to create my own.
Any information on the pins, control protocols, etc is appreciated. I'll post some more info if I find some...
