Saw the new Duracell 15 minute charger @ WalMart yesterday. Seemed to be reasonably priced and includes 4 batteries. Has a LARGE power supply.

Can't find any info on it anywhere. The package said nothing other than "buy it" and the duracell website has no substantive information about any of their products. A call to Duracell's customer service department provided little more info than "one end is positive and the other end is negative"

That's the 30 minute charger. I'm interested in the "15 minute charger"

Uniross make a 15 minute charger. The best one they have turned out. Comes with a

power driven cooling fan.

I've purchased 2 and so far neither has worked. Right now I'm doing everything I can (with the 2ndone) to try to get the batteries to take a charge.

Hello Demos,

The 15 minute chargers are very fussy about the batteries they charge. Since the charge rate is so high, cells with high internal resistance will be rejected by the charger.

15 minute chargers are very convenient, but fast charging does take its toll on cycle life of the batteries. You may read about claims of 500-1000 charge/discharge cycles, but with these ultra fast chargers you are lucky to get 150 cycles with 2500 mAh cells or those of higher capacities. Lower capacity cells (around 2000 mAh) don't seem to suffer as much from fast charging.

It sounds like your batteries may not be up to the demands of ultra fast charging.
