Default Nikon MB-E5000 Quality Issues???

A manager at a local camera store said that he didn't have any of these in stock (2 weeks ago) due to "quality control" issues.

But I haven't been able to find anything on this. Does anyone know if there are quality-control issues or not with these battery packs.

I've had mine for about a week now and no problems. So I'm assuming that the "quality control" issues were not very accurate.

I'm using Maha 1800Mha batteries in them - all I can say is POWERHOUSE!

I got it from J&R Music. They price-matched at $157... however PC/Mac Mall has them for $109 new. Grrr.

Default MB-E5000

You can order the Nikon MB-E5000 via Eppersonphoto.com for $117 plus $7.10 shipping. I do recommend you order the lens hood also for $17 at the same time, once you put these two on, you never want to take it off, also the nikon 62mm cap does fit over the hood, I throw the cheap plastic cap that came with the camera in the bag and never touch it again...

There wasn't any quality control issue at all, earlier, there were some production issues and high demand, but now, they're available everywhere, but if you want to get it at the lowest price and reliable dealer, eppersonphoto.com is your best bet.
