Isthe camerashowing a full charge indicator when they're completely charged?

How long did you charge the cells initially? Most sources recommend an overnight charge prior to initial use.

What brand/model of charger are you using?

Be aware that new NiMH cells need a good 4-5 complete charge/use/discharge cycles before they hold a normal charge as the chargers only replenish cells to about 93% capacity and then shut down or go on trickle charge. I would also suggest that you keep a CR-V3 lithium battery handy, they can sit in the camerafor yearsand when you do use them, theylast a long time - they are 1 use however. NiMH is very economical for those that use the camera a lot but they do discharge just sitting idle - after several weeks 1/2 the charge is gone. It is best to charge them just before use whenever possible.

FYI - And of course one of your new cells could be bad or the charger.
