Hey everyone, I'm looking for a new battery for my Kodak P850 and ordering online really isn't an option for me (no credit card and bad border chargers to ship to Canada).

So my local electronics store isn't carrying the official Kodak battery, but it does have an Energizer batterythat claims it is a suitable replacement for the same Kodak battery.

The part that scares me is that they are both 3.7 volts, but the Kodak says it has 1700mAh, and the Energizer says it has only 675mAh... but the Energizer one also claims it will be equivalent or better than the Kodak equivalent.

So does anyone here have experiance with energizer batteries? Should I buy the Energizer version or keep looking for the name brand Kodak?

I'd keep looking for the kodak brand. I bought a non kodak battery, and it kept making my P850 freeze up. Plus the large differnce in MAh means youll Get 60% less pictures per charge. Keep looking.

It's the same price, it's just that the Energizer is in stock and the Kodak isn't, so I'll need to get it online somehow (hard when you live in Canada)

Call Kodak customer service. They should be able to tell you distributors near your area.
