Thanks to my purchase of a Pentax DS, I now have about 12 NiMh rechargeable batts, size AA...can I use those batts in my iRiver MP3 player???...should they last longer than a lith ion disposable...the MP3 only needs one AA batt, and it seems silly for me to keep buying lith ion when I now have 12 NiMh to recharge...thanks

NiMH will work and is reusable but it won't last as long as a one-use lithium, those are the best throwaways there are but expensive. Always a tradeoff

The disposable lithium (Energizer E91) is the most expensive type of AA battery. Depending on the capacity, the life per charge should only be slightly less than the lithium disposable, but longer than alkaline.

What's the brand of your NiMH ?
