Default Lenmar Mach 1 Li-ion charger experience?

Anyone (Steve included) have long term experience w/ the Lenmar Mach 1 fast charger and Canon BP-511 or other batteries? How about Lenmar's BP-511 replacement pack vs. Canon branded? In particular I am intersted in the loong term battery pack reliability when fast charged on the Mach 1 vs w/ the Canon charger. Steve speaks well of it w/ his D30's battery pack in a review here dated 12/2001 but I wonder what additional comments he might have a year and a half later.

I'm quite interested as well. The price on their replacement BP-511 is lower than the price on the Canon's, and it's got a fair amount more power. Sounds great to me.

Maha makes a 511 clone battery which I've read some good things about. They make very good NiMH batteries & chargers which lots of people like, so I'd tend to trust them. They aren't the most powerful batteries, but I bet they take lots of recharges before going belly up.

Here is a link to some talk about batteries for the 10D:

(Yes, that is 1 large link!)
