The trumpeter swans in my earlier post share their pond with a number of other birds including hundreds of ring-necked ducks and assorted smaller ducks, including this bufflehead who swam in amongst the ring-necks and was promptly asked to leave



Today was the first time I had seen a flock of double-crested cormorants on the pond. I caught this one taking off over a trio of ring-necks
