I keep meaning to come over and visit here more often but rarely get around to it. Today when seeing the new challenge I was instantly inspired as I love flying things and fortunately I have one small RC helicopter here with me.
There was however one problem....... I'm the only one here so there was no one to take photos while I fly. What to do......... sure, I can do both, well after about 30 mins trying to get it to sit still long enough without me only touching one stick while using the camera (5D2 with Canon 85mm f1.8) with the other I managed to get a few shots that were usable. Not really enough light so dof is slightly shallow, but we are OK. Enjoy. |

Nicely done. Its no mean feat to fly and photograph at the same time.

Thanks guys, glad you liked them. It was a bit of fun trying to juggle the two things.
Just a good job that I wasn't flying one of my larger helis as below (sorry if I'm being naughty posting extra photos, this is not for the shoot out, but for explanation of why I wouldn't be able to take my own photos doing such things..... about 8" off the ground at this point, however I have been know to touch the grass many times). ![]() |

LOL, I like all toys, but as I recently moved to Egypt most of my helicopters and aircraft had to stay at home. I did bring 2 of the little blue ones with me (can't get spares here so easier to bring 2), 2dSLRs a collection of glass, 2 flash guns and a SX1..... that's about all my toys now for this year, well and the laptop.
