Real interesting story behind this plane. After a few were built they were considered too advanced and were destroyed. These are a couple of scale models in the Canadian Air Museum. I placed them where they belong.

Bynx,
Based on your comments did a bit of research and was fascinated by the history behind the ARROW. It's history was a colourful as it dramatic design for that era. Great post processing job. |

Great masking and extraction, and great final result!
The history of this plane is fascinating indeed. A friend of mine, Joanne Crabtree, a singer and songwriter in Toronto wrote a song about it... http://www.joannecrabtree.com/crabtr...20to%20Fly.mp3 |

That was a really good song Bob. Only line I resent was the repetitive line .... It took a lot to bring the Arrow down. It didnt take much at all, just an execution order from then Prime Minister John Diefenbaker. In hind sight Im glad they terminated the project. However, the total destruction of the protoypes, models, blueprints and photos was a really stupid thing to do. That was tax payers money they used to build them. They should have been disabled to keep the technology secret, but not completely destroyed. That was on the order of John Diefenbaker. Its a shame he is buried out of province, because I would like to have made it a yearly pilgrimage to the cemetery to urinate on his grave. There hasnt been a Prime Minister in my lifetime that disgusted me more. And thats really saying something considering the bozos we have had leading this country.
One aerial photograph of the destruction of the completed Arrows taken by a newspaper reporter who chartered a small plane to fly over the Avro plant in the days after cancellation. Last edited by Bynx; Dec 13, 2012 at 11:42 PM. |

Bynx,
Interesting story on the plane. Such a shame how it ended. Certainly sounds like there is more to it than is printed. One comment on the PP job. It is very nice but the planes need heat/exhaust trails out the back of the engines. Not sure how I would do that but I think you are better at PP than I am. |
