Default Brightly Colored Doors -- Portland Episcopal Cathedral

Here is an archive shot of one many red doors at the Portland Episcopal Cathedral. This is one of the doors I referred to in the challenge description. I am not Episcopal but discovered this while visiting a camera store in the neighborhood.

As you can see, the doors are a work of art and artisans. Those hinges must weigh 20 pounds, each. The lighting was bright and harsh sunlight. The shadows are a problem. Fill flash might have helped but in my opinion, it might have ruined it by flattening it too much.

Lord I love it the door has a feeling of something other than good behind it being its red with big trident side laid hinges... Shadow is something we all have to work with or around! Great shot. I would go back at night and do a night flash shot on the subject and see what comes out of it!

Can't get much brighter than that. Nice shot.
