Went for a walk today, looking for circles. Came across these two yellow circles. The first one is just for fun, the second one is more or less a circle.

Love the yellow circle of flowers in the second shot. That's a novel approach.

Did your dog help you spot that first one?

Walter - no dog but I was probably thinking like one. I actually was looking for something that a fish-eye lens could enhance, and using it to get an "in-your-face" look to the fire hydrant was just too tempting (and I thought the result as funny as I had hoped). Besides, it was the end of my walk and gave me an excuse to sit down for a couple of seconds and take a break.
I have been having such a great time with this topic, I don't think I've posted half of the ones I've tried (and I have something in mind but haven't found the right location for it yet, I probably will after the subject changes - story of my life). Thanks for the compliments on the second one - this is a tree planted along a street and I can't tell you how many times I've walked by it without really looking at it. This time I couldn't believe how much the blooms created the circle of yellow - of course I couldn't resist it. |

Another great capture of something we walk by everyday and don't see. There is a quote somewhere by Ansel I think that is something like give a man a camera and he will the world differently the rest of his life or he will see the world for the first time. I may have to go look it up.
