Default Circles--At the State Capitol

I took these three pictures at the Kansas Capitol Building in Topeka, Ks. The first in looking up at the inside dome. The second was taken above the inside dome looking up at the inside of the roof dome. I have climbed the stairs that take the adventurous to the outside of the dome where there is an observation area.
The third photo is looking up at one of the chandeliers in the Senate Chamber of the building.
The entire building is presently undergoing numerous (expensive!) renovations inside and out. There is some amazing restoration and updating going on. It has recently been found that the inner supporting wood for the outer copper dome is not sound and water is getting through which is allowing the wood to deteriorate. They are still not quite sure what will have to be done but it will have to be something! Can't have the entire copper structure collapse.

What a gorgeous building. I hope the restoration is successful.
