Once again your lighting is extraordinary! Is that your trusty bulb? It almost looks like you used two lights or is the double reflection coming from the front and the rear of the bubble?
Good work. Cal |

I had my 60 watt pointed in from the left side diagonally from front left corner to back right corner. It didnt seem to work though. Ive got to figure out the lighting so the bubbles will show up better. I took the photo with the on board flash. I hate the flash. Those two squares of light in the middle of the bubbles is a reflection of the flash and the reflection from the backside of the bubble as you said. I think this has potential and will be spending some more time on it.

Borrowing from my knowledge of stage lighting, I would recommend lighting from the side and not using the flash.

I have found from shooting water drops that I can set the camera ISO100 (no noise), Shutter speed 1/1000 (sharp image even if moving), Fstop 13.6 (greatest depth of field) and the flash will give me expected results for lighting. It might not be in the direction I want it, but it is predictable. But Im going to try some other lighting means. I might even add another 60 watt bulb. hahaha

I wonder if a light painting technique would work. You might need another set of hands, and several flash lights of various intesity. Just a thought.
