Well, there's no doubt that this photo meets the first of Selvin's criteria. The depth of field is not as good as I would like to see.
In general, I find this shot to be rather plain and uninteresting. I think it would be improved significantly by backing up or zooming out to get the entire pumpkin and some of the background. Perhaps, if you have a zoomed out shot, you could paste that shot , reduced in size, into one of the lower corners of this shot. I think that would be in keeping with Selvin's second criteria of manipulation. Cal |

I agree, while it does meet the requirement it lacks any "pop" or drama. A closer macro shot showing some of the skin details might help or as Cal suggested in his folow-up to include some background. Thanks for submitting. |
