Thomas Edison , Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone all had winter homes in Southern Florida (Ft. Myers). Therethey fished, swapped stories, held dinner parties etc. Edison had a complete lab on-site. This also explains the bond between Ford and the Firestone tire company. Ford sold many vehicles with Firestone tires for OEM.
In the Edison lab snippets of his life and work are shown and some artifacts are on display also. What has been touted as the world's largest incandescent bulb shown below and of course early versions of his Kinetoscope the predecessor of the movie-projector. ![]() ![]() |

Looks like a very interesting room, Selvin. One could spend hours in there looking at the details.
