For some reason I like water drops. I've tried my hand at them a number of times, this is one of my more successful attempts.

mtngal,
Rivals anything I've seen done on this matter. It's a amazing what we are able to do today with our home equipment that took Harold Edgerton an entire lab and a ton of ingenuity. Love the shadows created by the ripples. |

My set up was very basic, the camera on a tripod, a remote, and a flash to the side. I used a turkey baster and a small clear Pyrex dish. With this type of set up my keeper ratio was quite small, had far more pictures of either still water or only ripples.

Perfect! Nice capture and I love the greenish tint to the drop.

I had been reading about using food color to add different colors. I don't have any food color, but decided that the Gatorade I was drinking would do just as well.

As the others have said, great shot. Now, what I want to know, what is that small piece of debris floating in the water? It looks like a miniature leaf.
