At the end of June 2011 I took some friends to visit Yosemite. We had a lot of rain that year and even though it was already Summer, the waterfalls were absolutely full. So full that we could not get to the bottom of Bridal Falls because the whole area was flooded and water was coming down like a river.

Thanks Selvin and jj. Yosemite is an impressive place but after so many visits it can become quite boring. This time the weather was strange. Lots of low clouds, some rain and totally overcast. I probably took some of the most beautiful pictures from all the times I've been there.

Don't think I've ever seen the falls that full, though I have been there in the spring. Very nicely done! Was the first one by the parking lot at Bridal Veil Falls? I've tried shooting there but the dynamic range was always so big with the sunlight that they weren't very good. But yours is really, really nice.

I believe that's Yosemite Falls, not Bridal Falls. I could not get close to Bridal Falls because the path that leads to it had turned into a river. I don't believe you can get a clear shot of the falls from the nearest parking lot.

Oh, I think I know where you mean. I was thinking it was of the run-off below Bridal Veil for the first one.

The first one was taken from one of the roads (Hwy 120 maybe? can't remember...I went from Sonora) leading to the valley. There is a little bridge that goes over the water at that point.
