When doing HDR at night the sky ends up much lighter than it actually looks due to the longer exposures. The first house (we are looking west) and so the sky caught a bit of the light left over from the sun after it set. The second house (we are looking south) was taken less than 10 minutes after the first one. Big difference in the light and color of the sky.

The first house almost looks like one of the "gingerbread" houses on Martha's Vineyard.
Both are beautiful shots. |
