This house stood up with a kind of grim determination. Although the houses behind it look OK the ones in front did not do as well. DAZ |

I think you are pulling the wool over our eyes! I don't see anything wrong with the house in front. I don't see any damage. It is an unusually shaped house--sorta like a teacup but it appears in good condition. I do see the face.

My lack of clarity, sorry. I am standing on the road with the Gulf of Mexico behind me. The houses I am referring to are between the road and the beach. This little house just weathered the storm like a teacup. The water just came up around it and the metal sides protected it from the stuff in the water.
This photo is not right in front of this house (I did not take one of that) but down the beach some. The houses that look like they are on stilts are to the newer building standards. The one that has fallen down was built to the older standards. The teacup house I think was built before the new standards were in place. DAZ |

I see a problem with that teacup house. I could never find a quiet corner to relax in.

I see the face. Windows for eyes and a nose/mouth in the center there.
What an unusual house! |

Very nice find. I guess if it flooded to much it would just float away!!!

It is probably bolted down to stop it from rolling. Other then that I don't know why it did not float away like just about every other thing on this island did. You find some of the strangest things in the strangest places around here.
