I know I am violating the rules by posting more than two posts in a day but I am just too exited about the results of this technique. I will accept whatever punishment you deem appropriate. As long as it doesn't involve wet pasta.
I went to the link Cal suggested. It's pretty straight forward and simple. I did not use side lighting, just my SB 600 flash stepped down two thirds. and an EV of -.7 as well. As suggested I shot in manual mode on both the camera and the flash. My settings were f/9 and 1/250 sec. I did not try anything else this time. The settings seem to be working so I left them alone. OK, since I am already breaking the rules I might as take full advantage and I guess you may now use the wet pasta.
Thanks for indulging me. Steve Just smoke. Last edited by smac; Jan 30, 2014 at 11:42 AM. |

Nicely done.
Moderators will have to beat you with a wet noodle for violating posting rules. ![]() |

If you could photograph jazz, I bet it would look a lot like that swirling smoke. Great color blue you have in it.

Not Stupid at all. I just boosted the cyan tint. Simple really. I explained it to Bynx in this thread. I included a link to the original " How to" that Cal posted.
