Default Flora -- One of those Unusual Hawaiian Flowers

Here is a shot taken at the Guava Kai Plantation in the Hanalei Valley of Kauai. I don't remember the name of it but Selvin should know!

Looks like a Heleconia (Heliconia psittacorum).

Paniolo my other Hawaiian counterpart is correct.
As paniolo's link indicates, this is a very invasive species since it propagates rapidly via underground tubers and is a challenge to control.
