The Manoa falls is approximately 100 feet tall and bursts over the edge of a small cliff to cascade down into a tropical rain forest setting at the edge of Honolulu's residential area.
The falls is accessible via a relatively easy one mile hike thru a semi-dense tropical rain forest. There are large groves of tree ferns, bamboo, monkeypod and assorted smaller trees. Much of the walk is parallel to Manoa Stream. ![]() This is not encouraged but you can take a dip into the stream. Because of the constant rainfall and erosion, loose rocks are a hazard. But people being people, do the following: ![]() |

Selvin keep your eye out for me. Im moving to Hawaii. Im going to sell t-shirts that say "I Was Knocked Unconscious at Manoan Falls". The tourists should gobble them up. Nice shots by the way. I didnt notice the falls in your second shot though. :blah:

Beautiful shots, selvin. With heavy snow falling the last 24 hours here, it makes me want to get out my calendar and start crossing off the days till my wife and I head for the islands.
