I just realized that I responded to Bynx's post regarding creativity vs. technicality and I didn't comment on the original photo.
I know Selvin won't agree but I love this kind of shot. The "fuzzy water" among the rocks looks great.
One has to be careful selecting the shutter speed for this type of shot. Too slow and it ends up looking like a big blur while too fast shows too much detail. I have found that 1/2 to 1 second is a good starting point. The required shutter speed will not be the same for all shooting situations. I think it depends a lot on how close to the water you are.
