Archive shots ARE permitted. If you haven't done so, I suggest you read the forum guidelines anchored at the top of the forum.
I think I know what this is but not sure. It looks like a piece of stemware with the light focused on the bottom of the bowl part. Cal |

And only a small amount of water in the glass. An interesting angle, too.

Cool shot. I like the dim lighting.

oh ok calr, sorry i must have misread the rules.
well the photo is actualy upside down, and the glass is submerged in water, what looks like liquid is actualy air and the weird angle at the base is the reflection on the surface of the water ![]() heres a pic of the setup ![]() Last edited by kazuya; Apr 5, 2012 at 2:38 AM. |

What an interesting effect! I was trying to figure out what is going on at the base of the glass, but now I see it is sticking out above the water surface (seen upside down!). Didn't you get little air bubbles stuck to the glassware surface?

thx for the comments
there were lots of bubbles when i first put the glass in the water, but i got rid of them just by rubbing my hands over the glass while it was submerged, and the sides of the tank too. |
