Long time since I last posted. I haven't been taking many photos. This is week is different. I'm taking photos at our church every night during Vacation Bible School. I was asked by someone to take some pictures for a scavenger hunt of sorts. So I started looking for things most people would not see. These birds are part of the stained glass windows on the church. But, because of the angles the windows are set at, most folks sitting the congregation will never see them.

Well done. Nice colors. I'm fascinated by stained glass in church windows.

Welcome back. Your composition and subject are great. The colors are so vivid they almost pop off the screen. Great job.

These appear to be bits of glass on a velvet black background.
Aloha and nice job. |

Thanks guys! The pieces are actually quite large. Example: The large blue pieces in the bottom right of #2 are probably 3"x4" The pieces that make up the doves nest are easily 1.5" square. Most of the pieces of the rest of the windows are much larger. The pieces are all at least an inch thick too.
Here are some shots I took in February of the whole windows. The aren't nearly as good, but just to give you guys some perspective on the size. These windows are probably 10' tall and 8' wide. The doves are in the top right of #1 and the numbers in the left middle of #2. ![]() ![]() |
