Not sure what kind of bird that is but I have seen them here in the Portland, Oregon area. I had a feeder similar to the one in the photo since we have quite a few humming birds here. However, the "flower" ports got mold growing in and around them and I couldn't clean it. I threw it out and haven't replaced it, yet.

The bird is a female Hooded Oriole - Orioles are nectar feeders; they even make special Oriole feeders, but ours have to make do with the Hummingbird feeders, and share them with House Finches, Warblers, Goldfinches, Hummingbirds and the occasional wasp and butterfly. We keep two feeders and they go through one every day. Great photo ops, too.

You can clean the mold out of the tubes with a pipe cleaner.

Thanks Harriet. I should have aded a picture of the male doing the same thing, but I didn't find it in time. His colors are much more striking.
