This is a white globe, about 6 inches in diameter, on a piece of white printer paper. Canon 40D, 28-135 IS lens, F-6.3, ISO 200, 1/10 sec.

Fooling around, I found a good use for it. Layered it over a portrait of my wife in PS, then did some erasing.

Beautifully done, Walter.
I can see why you were attracted to each other, or maybe you've grown to look like each other! Your avatar plus this image warm the cockles of the heart. |

If we had a challenge one day to write a verse describing the accompanying image, I bet you'd be outstanding. Maybe it's your climate. Closest I come to that is (a) your pictures and (b) watching the Van Dyke family in action on a Californian Beach in endless afternoon repeats of 'Diagnosis Murder'. How about this (follow the weblink first)... Wallet, watch, spectacles, testicles, Each of them should be a functional part, Ventricles!, two of them, that's what I need, In addition, to make up.. The Cockles of my Heart. |

I haven't had my morning coffee yet, so I won't even attempt to versify with such masters, but truly a creative application of the challenge. Nicely done, Walter.

I'll stay out of this cockle discussion also, but wanted to comment on your images. The first is beautifully done....such simplicity...I'm easy to please. And the gorgeous image of your wife...well done!
