Gingerbread houses are a tradition in my family. Before kids we participated in competitions, after kids we just made them to decorate. As the kids brought more kids home, I found myself making more and more houses. It took me three days to mix, roll, cut and bake 276 pieces for 46 houses. My kitchen looks like tract housing when they are all constructed. Leftovers are decorated and donated to the local service center. Here is a pile of local inhabitants.
![]() Here's my recipe: 20 cups shortening 20 cups sugar 20 cups molasses 5 cups cold water 3/4 cup cinnamon 3/4 cup ginger 1/4 cup sugar 120 cups of flour |

That's a lot of gingerbread men. What do you mix 120 cups of flour in?

Nice job. Have you got any that are sugar-free? If so, send some my way.
