Here is where the pier ends at PCH (Pacific Coast Highway), which runs the entire length of the West Coast. Very scenic. Across PCH is Main Street where the tourists part with their money on bikinis, shell necklaces, sidewalk lunches, etc. The city closes the street on Tuesday evenings so that even more vendors can hawk their wares from tents and trailers. Street performers entertain as well. Unfortunately, we've had some unusually cool weather this week (Low of 50, high of 60), so not a lot of foot traffic. Normally it's in the 70s. But, we have sorely needed the rain. |
