Our neighbour tossed a few tokenlights over the tree in his front yard and it ended up looking great. A chance for me to use my new tripod:-)

That is a nice capture Steve. The lighting on the branches is very subtle and you captured it nicely. Now I have a question. Who are the 18 bozos who took the time to come in and gawk at the photo but were too damn lazy to say anything. Id sure like to know who they were. Sometimes there are so many comments left that if its all been said then no reason to keep repeating it. But here we have 18 people who have come and gone and not a single comment.

Thanks for the feedback Bynx.
True Bynx....a single comment is all that is needed to make your post worth the effort. |

Very nice. Simple, yet effective. And, I'm with vsch. It's nice to see leaves on the trees.

Agreed, nicely done. It seems to have a 3D effect to it, but that could just be my old eyes.:-)

I really like the colors, especially the blues.
Bynx, comments are always encouraged but not required. I am sure that there are a lot of people who are not regular participants in this forum who stop by to see what's happening. How many times have you scanned through other forums on this site without making comments? I bet it's more times than you think. Cal |

At the best of times, I only comment when I have something specific and additional to say. Can you imagine how long this forum would take to load if even half of those viewing the messages responded to them? On occasions I have myself found neglect to be hurtful here, when I have posted an excellent entry and it elicited no response at all.A year or so agoI got so upset I whinged openly about it, and engaged in deliberate 'bumping' to stir things up, in... http://forums.steves-digicams.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=581229&forum_id=85&jump_ to=818576 (read the whole thread), and also in ... http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...mp;forum_id=85, where nobody ever posted a response to what I saw as an excellent entry to the topic. It's often to do with the time of day you post in the many different time zones round the world, and, I suspect, people looking only at 'recent' posts. As I write this it's 04:50 GMT. That's when I get time to myself, with no domestic demands. It does however, conflict violently witha need to sleep sometimes. So, frankly,I don't think there's really a lot to complain about here in this vibrant and inclusive forum at present. People do their own thing, in their own time. |
