This might not seem unusual to you, but I certainly did a double-take when I saw it. We went to visit the transport museum at Inverell in rural northern New South Wales, and there among vintage sedans, t-model fords and buckboard trucks was this .....

Well, the windshield does have 'Superior Car Sales' on it. I bet the shipping charge was as much as the Jeep.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Cal and Brian. I took it to be California in the first place because of the "Life Guard Patrol Ca" on the windscreen, Cal, then I googled and found that Venice Beach is the life guard headquarters in Los Angeles. Maybe there are two Venice Beaches?
Cheers Bernice

That is certainly one of the most unique traction set ups I have ever seen, Wonder if they still use an updated version? You are right it would have been a "can't kick the tires on this baby you'll have to take her out for a spin" type of sales job!

Ive seen a few of the track conversions on pickups. Good for snow, and should work great in the desert or outback.

Reminds me very much about selling air-conditioners in Alaska. Don't know why.
Cheers. Selvin |
