This is a glass of water frozen and the glass removed. I put some led Xmas lites behind it and thats it. Oh, in the center you will notice a red spot. That is a lazer lite I pointed at it. It makes an interesting glass of color. I used an incense stick for some smoke, but that didnt work. Next time.

Thanks all for your comments. Does anyone know how to make clear ice? Its never clear but always has a solid white core.

Very well done and creative. Good work!
Just a side note, if you add food coloring to the water and try to freeze it, I think the coloring will separate out from the water and the ice will be clear. Cal |

Thanks selvin and Calr. I like the eager enthusiasm from everyone this thread creates. Its nice to have a reason to do some unusual shooting which makes it a whole lot of fun. Thanks all.

I have some pics ice sculptures from Ottawa a few years back. The ice is just like glass. Very clear and no milky white sections. I know there is a way to create ice like glass but not sure how. The glass of ice has a solid milky white core. Thats the reason I had to shoot the center part with a lazer beam, otherwise it would have been just black.
